No one in or around the San Francisco Giants would have expected to be sellers when they signed top offseason free agent pitcher Blake Snell.
But when you’re six games under .500 with less than a week to go until the trade deadline, you may not have any other choice. That’s seemingly why the Giants now sound ready and willing to ship out Snell.
After the Giants lost to the Dodgers on Thursday (on a homer from Giants castoff Nick Ahmed, no less), the Athletic’s Andrew Baggarly reported that the team is “drawing significant trade interest” for the reigning NL Cy Young winner.
