Colorado Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes was recently arrested on the island of Maui for allegedly assaulting his wife, according to Chelsea Davis of Hawaii News Now.
Per Deadspin, a television report from KHNL in Hawaii says that Reyes and his wife were arguing when he allegedly grabbed her by the throat and shoved her into the sliding glass door in their hotel room.
Reyes’ wife told police she had injuries to her thigh, neck, and wrist. She was taken to the emergency room at the Maui Memorial Medical Center.
