Giants right-hander Johnny Cueto has been selected to start Tuesday night's All-Star Game.
The San Francisco Chronicle was reporting Monday that Cueto was called by N.L. manager Terry Collins of the New York Mets and given the news. Cueto is deserving with a 13-1 record and 2.47 ERA. The Giants are 16-2 in his 18 starts.Cueto, who came to San Francisco during the off-seasopn as a free agent, is one of three Giants who will be in uniform Tuesday night at Petco Park in San Diego. Catcher Buster Posey and first baseman Brandon Belt are also on the team.
