Brandon Belt had so much trouble dealing with severe symptoms from his latest concussion last season that he fell into a depression, the Giants first baseman told The Athletic.
Belt told The Athletic’s Andrew Baggarly he became a different person after he suffered his fourth concussion when he took a fastball from Arizona’s Anthony Banda off his helmet on Aug. 4.
Normally an affable, fun-loving guy, Belt became distant and moody last season as he battled symptoms such as severe headaches, lethargy and dizziness.
