The Giants won't need a shortstop for at least six years, but that didn't stop them from reportedly adding a former top prospect to their minor league system.
According to Baseball America's Matt Eddy, shortstop Hak-Ju Lee was among was among five players the team signed to minor league deals Monday.
The Giants also signed right-handed pitcher Albert Suarez, outfielders Junior Arias & Carlos Moncrief, and re-signed left-handed pitcher Ricky Romero.

Originally signed as a free agent from South Korea by the Chicago Cubs in 2009, the 25-year-old Lee spent the last five seasons in the Tampa Bay Rays system, including the last three at Triple-A Durham.
