Report: Former Giants, Dodgers pitcher retires at 41

Journeyman pitcher Jamey Wright, who was attempting to make a comeback with the Dodgers this spring, has retired at age 41.

The Los Angeles Times was the first to report the news. An offical announcement is expected to come later on Monday.

After sitting out the 2015 season, the sinkerballer struggled in spring training with Los Angeles this year, posting a 12.15 ERA in 6 2/3 innings pitching.

Wright pitched for the Giants in 2006, serving as the team's fifth starter/long reliever. He finished the year with a 6-10 record and 5.
