Sam Dyson saved 38 games for the 2016 Rangers and pitched six perfect innings in the World Baseball Classic, but his numbers in this season’s first two months were awful.
Now he’s a Giant, added to the roster Friday three days after he was acquired in a trade for a player to be named later.
“Getting back to the basics and using the sinker and stop trying to reinvent stuff to get guys out,” Dyson said of his mission. “Don’t second-guess the reason why I’m here and go out there and pitch.”
Dyson was 1-6 with a 10.
