You can tell it has been a slow spring training for news. Goose Gossage is the man making the most headlines. And he hasn't pitched in the Major Leagues since 1994.
Gossage drew attention last week while spending time in the New York Yankees camp as a special instructor. Someone from ESPN asked what he thought about today's baseball. Gossage gave his opinion. Specifically, Gossage doesn't like players who flip their bats to celebrate after hitting a big home run, as Toronto's Jose Bautista did in last year's playoffs. Gossage also thinks there are "a bunch of nerds running the game" who "played Rotisserie baseball at Harvard" and have changed the rules to made the sport too soft.
