PHOENIX -- A day after learning Pablo Sandoval would miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring, the Giants were faced with the possibility of another key loss Friday.
Not only was right-hander Chris Stratton knocked around in his first start since July 3 in a 6-3 defeat to the D-backs at Chase Field, catcher Buster Posey was removed from the game to be watched for concussion symptoms.
Stratton gave up 10 hits and all six runs, five in the first inning when the D-backs sent 11 batters to the plate and scored four of their runs with two outs.
