It was difficult to imagine a baseball game would be played after the large amount of rain that hit Scottsdale Stadium on Saturday morning but baseball found a way. Soon after 2 p.m. the rain stopped, the umbrellas were tucked away under fans’ seats and it was time to play ball.
The San Francisco Giants played their first Cactus League game against their archrival the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team from the Southern California took an early lead that the Giants were unable to overcome. By the end of the fourth inning the Dodgers were up 6-1. Los Angeles would extend their lead and win the game 10-4.
