But the win came on the heels of the news that an injury may have derailed the comeback of resurgent veteran Michael Morse, who injured his left hamstring rounding first base in Monday’s game against the White Sox. The Giants are also bracing for the possibility that left-handed pitcher Will Smith may need corrective “Tommy John” surgery on his elbow.
