SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Giants right fielder Hunter Pence left Saturday's workout with right Achilles tendinitis, though he and manager Bruce Bochy didn't consider the injury serious.
The Giants initially plan to rest Pence for a couple of days before re-evaluating him Monday. Bochy said that, to his knowledge, no tests for Pence had been scheduled.
Contrasting with his "full throttle" style of playing, Pence moved sluggishly during a baserunning drill early in the workout and was pulled from the field shortly afterward.
Pence, 32, was limited to 52 games last year while going on the disabled list three times.
