Pence homers in first at-bat of River Cats' win

Hunter Pence was active Thursday for the River Cats' game against the Zephyrs, while Joe Panik was out.

And the Giants' rehabbing outfielder made an offensive impact almost immediately, putting Sacramento on the board in the first inning with a solo home run.

He finished 2-for-3 on the day.

Catcher Andrew Susac also had a two-run blast in the fifth, bumping Sacramento's lead to 5-1.

The River Cats went on to win 5-4 behind starting pitcher Chris Stratton.
