MILWAUKEE — Miller Park security officials were spending part of Thursday afternoon getting to the bottom of why a man wearing no pants ran onto the field toward Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford.
The man, clad in a shirt, briefs and sports socks, ran onto the field from the third-base stands in the bottom of the second inning and made his way toward Crawford.
As Crawford stepped forward to avoid the interloper, a security guard ran the man down from behind and took hiim down with a ferocious tackle.
The pants-less man then was escorted off the field through a door in the left-field corner, after he was paraded past all the fans on the third-base side of the stadium.
