Rookie Tristan Beck has pitched well overall but he got clobbered in his Friday start in San Diego. His fellow rookie Kyle Harrison, fresh off a sparkling home debut, fell victim to the same onslaught on Saturday. Beck allowed nine hits (2 HR) and six runs in 2-2/3 IP leading to a 7-3 loss. Harrison fared a bit better, pitching into the 6th while also allowing six runs, but he got dinged for four bombs. He did strike out five against only two walks, so there's that. The final was 6-1.
