A former trainer for Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval told the Boston Herald that the Panda needs a "babysitter" to help him control his overeating.
Ethan Banning, who owns Triple Threat Performance in Phoenix, told the newspaper that Sandoval's problems with food are similar to what an alcoholic experiences."He needs to be smart enough to say there's a problem," Banning told the Herald. "It's like the alcoholic that won't admit he's an alcoholic: well, you can't address that you're an alcoholic if you don't ever admit there's a problem."Sandoval, who caught the final out of the 2014 World Series for the Giants before signing with the Red Sox as a free agent, showed up to spring training overweight.
