It’s not the San Francisco Giants don’t have reasons for why their offense is struggling. They’ve got plenty of reasons. It’s that those reasons aren’t particularly helpful.
I didn’t want to is a perfectly understandable reason for a kid to not do their homework, but neither parent nor teacher is going to be satisfied upon hearing it.
The Giants’ reasons for averaging 3.3 runs over their last 13 games are similarly dissatisfactory. Jorge Soler and Matt Chapman are not hitting as advertised. Wilmer Flores and Thairo Estrada and Mike Yastrzemski are not hitting as accustomed.
