Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda, who has been hospitalized in critical condition the past week after suffering a cardiac arrest episode, is showing “major signs of improvement,” his family said Monday.
The 80-year-old former Giants star suffered severe head injuries when he fell in the parking lot of his Fairfield gym last Monday night due to cardiac arrest. Although his family didn’t provide details on his improvement, his prognosis certainly sounds much better than it did a week ago.
The Giants released the following statement from Cepeda’s family:
