MILWAUKEE -- It was 31 degrees when the Giants woke up Monday morning, so a few players added layers to avoid an Opening Week cold. Others were sick when they came here.
Madison Bumgarner became the latest to deal with a flu that has slowly traveled through the clubhouse. The Opening Day starter spent most of Sunday getting medication. Buster Posey was sick on Saturday and stayed home instead of attending the final game of the Bay Bridge Series.
"Madison had it pretty good yesterday," manager Bruce Bochy said. "They've been loading him up with medicine and trying to get him ready for today.
