It never fails in baseball. If you talk a guy up he goes 0-for-4 the next day with three whiffs. If you praise a pitching staff they give up four homers and nine runs the next time out! It's part of the curse of being a fan. Just when you get excited you get your legs cut off. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. At least the Giants made it exciting at the end and the Nats had to scramble to get their closer in the game.
