Sunday was another bad game for the San Francisco Giants. They lost another close game to the Seattle Mariners, which saw their rapidly-dimming playoff chances take another hit. And to pour salt in the wound, left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray sustained an injury, and left the game early.
Thankfully it’s not the same injury that took Ray off the same Seattle mount about 17 months ago, when he blew out his elbow and headed for Tommy John surgery. This time it was “just” his hamstring, which is always good news for a pitcher.
Still, injuries are never good, and Ray is scheduled for an MRI today.
