There’s no hiding the fact that it hasn’t been the start to the season that the San Francisco Giants envisioned. It’s been a fairly brutal schedule, but even so, the sloppy play, hide-and-seek offense, and inconsistent pitching have led to a 10-13 record that no one in the organization — nor any fan — is stoked about.
And yet, despite it all, the Giants find themselves right in the thick of the NL West standings. No one will be surprised to learn that the Giants are last among the quartet that also features the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks.
