The Giants have been relatively quiet so far this offseason, but perhaps president of baseball operation Farhan Zaidi is starting to put his plan in place.
On Friday, the Giants signed right-handed pitcher Tyson Ross to a minor-league contract, USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported.
The #SFGiants signed veteran pitcher Tyson Ross, a Bay Area native, to a minor-league deal. He'll earn $1.75 million w/ $1.75M in incentives if he makes their big-league team. Ross earned $5.75M last year with the #Tigers, but didn't pitch after May 10 with elbow/neck injuries.

Ross, 32, is coming off a season in which he started only seven games for the Detroit Tiger, going 1-5 with a 6.
