Tim Welke, a crew chief in his 32nd Major League season, will call balls and strikes and will lead the crew assigned to Baseball’s 86th Midsummer Classic on Tuesday, July 14th at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Major League Baseball announced Wednesday.
This marks the third career All-Star Game for Welke, who previously worked the event in 1990 and 2005. The Michigan native has also been assigned to eight Division Series, seven League Championship Series and four World Series.
Welke’s crew will consist of regular season crew chief Jerry Meals (first base), Paul Schrieber (second base), Ron Kulpa (third base), James Hoye (left field) and Alan Porter (right field).
