MLB Network host offers depressing SF Giants outlook after Dodgers' World Series

In the wake of the Dodgers’ World Series win on Wednesday, MLB Network host Chris “Mad Dog” Russo believes the Giants need to take a two-season pause on going after big-name free agents.

The New York sports radio legend joined KNBR’s “Murph and Markus” morning show on Thursday to discuss all things baseball, and was asked about the outlook for San Francisco under new president of baseball operations Buster Posey. After Russo, a retired Giants fan, called the Dodgers “the best professional franchise in sports,” he praised San Francisco for “going against the grain” because of how difficult it is to hire former all-time greats back to a position of power.
