The San Francisco Giants announced that Mike Yastrzemski has been activated from the 10-day IL today and replacing Landen Roupp’s spot on the roster following his demotion to Triple-A yesterday.
Yaz was lost to an oblique strain back on June 22nd, an injury that doesn’t usually have a smooth recovery timetable. That said, despite a low average and OBP, he still provides decent power and above average defense in the outfield. Just in time for a series in Atlanta where the ball is sure to fly.
