Mike Krukow wants to see Jeff Kent inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The Giants broadcaster told KNBR on Tuesday that Kent, the longtime Giants second baseman, deserves to be in Cooperstown.
“Jeff Kent’s not getting a whole lot of steam on this thing — that ticks me off,” Krukow said.
Kent is currently at 15.6 percent with just over half of the ballots tracked by Hall of Fame superfan Ryan Thibodaux. That’s far below the 75-percent threshold for induction.
“There are guys who are players who, in my mind, are obvious Hall of Famers that are just… it’s not happening,” Krukow said.
