SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–President of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi left the Dodgers to join the Giants.
But he’s not the executive Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda refers to as “Benedict Arnold.”
The man Lasorda considers a traitor is instead first-year director of pro scouting Zack Minasian, who happens to be the godson of the former Dodgers manager.
“He said he bleeds Dodger blue,” Minasian said. “I joke I was baptized in it.”
If baseball was a religion, the Minasians would run their own place of worship. Zack’s father, Zack Sr., is the longtime clubhouse manager for the Texas Rangers.
