SAN FRANCISCO – The Toronto Blue Jays saw a dependable strike thrower and potential bullpen asset when they took Joe Biagini from the Giants in the Rule 5 draft in December.
They had no idea that Biagini would provide comic relief, too.

The Bay Area native made the Blue Jays roster out of spring and has a 0.93 ERA in seven appearances. He’s making an even more memorable impression in his media appearances, mixing one-liners with deadpan humor and qualifying every sentence with an apology.
