Giants pitching ace Madison Bumgarner is scheduled to address the media Monday for the first time since the dirt-bike mishap that put him on the disabled list last week.
Bumgarner sustained bruised ribs and a sprained AC joint in his pitching shoulder when he dumped the bike on a slick road Thursday in Denver during the team’s off-day.
Bumgarner, 27, had never been on the disabled list till now. There is concern that the injury could keep him on the sideline for two months or more.
He had been scheduled to pitch against the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw in a showdown of aces Tuesday night at AT&T Park.
