SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Giants ace Madison Bumgarner was scratched from his scheduled Cactus League start Sunday against San Diego with a nerve issue in his left foot and discomfort in his rib cage near the center of his chest.
Bumgarner emphasized that neither injury is serious and he expects to be ready for his Opening Day start April 4 at Milwaukee.
