This was not the kind of game that will make you miss Giants baseball when it goes into hibernation for the winter. This was the kind of game that makes you think, “You know, it might be kind of nice to get my Saturday afternoons back.”
With a loss today, the best the Giants can do is tie for the worst home record in franchise history. That means if they lose tomorrow, they’ll set a new record for home losses. Ordinarily, I’m of the opinion that if you’re going to go down, go down historically, but a loss tomorrow also means that Bruce Bochy will finish his Giants career with a losing record.
