Raise your hand if you’re happy to see Tim Lincecum back in baseball. Hide your eyes if you fear the worst.
Lincecum won two Cy Young Awards, threw two no-hitters, and won three World Series rings in his nine years with the Giants. The end came swiftly for The Freak, whose final four summers in San Francisco saw him win 39 and lose 42. A cameo with the Angels two years ago, after hip surgery, was a disaster: 2-6, 9.16. He sat out last season.
Now, per the Laredo Morning Times, Lincecum has signed with Texas. According to Yahoo Sports, the Rangers may give him a shot at the closer’s role.
