The sports world reacts to the death of Giants legend Willie McCovey.
Photo: TwitterSan Francisco Giants legend Willie McCovey died at the age of 80 on Wednesday afternoon, and news of the first basemen's passing sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media.
A number of public figures, including NBA great Bill Russell and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, paid their respects to McCovey and his family, and several reporters also shared their favorite stories from McCovey's baseball career.
