Johnny Cueto hit hard, Giants to open World Series on the road

Buster Posey scored a run, though, so it wasn't all bad.

The good news is that Johnny Cueto really is a true Giant. The right-hander renewed the troubled franchise history of pitchers in the All-Star Game, giving up two home runs to different Royals and taking the loss as the American League won the 2016 All-Star Game, 4-2.

Cueto was feeling a little barfy, apparently, but he pitched a scoreless bottom of the first. In the second inning, though, Eric Hosmer hit a home run, Mookie Betts lined a single up the middle, and Salvador Perez followed with a long homer to left.
