John Madden was knee-deep in an appreciation of the San Francisco Giants’ Brandon Crawford — who will be the National League’s starting shortstop in next week’s All-Star Game — when the conversation took an abrupt aside.
“When they play the (baseball All-Star Game),” Madden said Wednesday on his KCBS call-in with Stan Bunger and Steve Bitker, “it’s the best All-Star Game there is because you can’t horse around in baseball.”
