I’m not the most superstitious person in the world, but as Michael Scott would say, I’m a little-stitious.
Everyone baseball fan should be.
The sit-in-the-same-seat during the postseason, no-wash skivvies during a winning streak can be a little extreme, though feeding the illusion of participation is an important part of the communal experience. As bizarre as it comes off, it’s really an act of wise humility. Small quirks, our little game-day rituals, show deference to the inter-connectedness of things.
Personally, I don’t like to talk about the score during a game, especially if the Giants are winning.
