SAN FRANCISCO — When Buster Posey flied out to deep, deep center to end the eighth inning Tuesday, a man 30 rows back of the plate put his hands on his head and screamed, “It’s not fair! It’s not fair!”
Apparently, this wretched run at the plate has knocked a few diehards right off the World Series Bliss Train.
The Giants left nine more men on base while falling 4-1 to the Colorado Rockies and extending their losing streak to five games. They have scored just seven runs in the last five days, and just one in two games back at home.
