OAKLAND — Before the final road game of the season, Giants manager Bruce Bochy was asked what he would like to see.
“I’d like to see Chris get a win,” he said. “It’s been a while for him.”
Chris Heston did finally get his first win since July 27 thanks to some heavy lifting from the bullpen. Heston was charged with four earned in five innings, but the bullpen kept the A’s off balance for the final four innings, allowing an early lead to hold up in a 5-4 victory at O.Co.
The rookies led the charge as the Giants scored three in the top of the second and two more in the third.
