SAN FRANCISCO — Neither of the managers in Friday night’s game stuck around long, but Bruce Bochy certainly enjoyed his ejection a bit more than Chip Hale did.
Bochy was sent off early, with his team trailing, but the Giants flipped a switch after their manager got run. They beat the Diamondbacks 6-2 to kick off the final series of the first half.
Jeff Samardzija’s final line was remarkable given how his evening started. Jean Segura blasted the game’s first pitch over the left field wall and Samardzija went on to give up two more hits and walk a batter in the first.
