LOS ANGELES — This was the snarling, slow-walking, strike-throwing Madison Bumgarner of October, and it led to a second win over Clayton Kershaw in seven days.
Bumgarner went eight strong and the Giants beat the Dodgers 2-1, becoming the first side in the rivalry to win on the road this season. The Giants improved to 4-1 against the Dodgers, with two of the wins coming against Kershaw.
The Giants got to Kershaw early when Angel Pagan hit a first-inning double off the wall and Buster Posey poked a flare to right that easily brought Pagan racing home.
