With the start of the 2020 MLB season on hold, the league is taking a cue from the NBA.
MLB announced Friday that they have created a virtual league in the MLB The Show 20 video game.
One player from each big league team will take part in the round-robin tournament that began playing virtual games Friday.
Hunter Pence will represent the Giants, while top prospect Jesus Luzardo will play for the A's.
Each player will compete in 29 virtual matchups, one against every other player in the league. The round-robin play will last around three weeks.
