SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- It didn't take outfielder Hunter Pence long to get in the swing of things in his first spring training action for the Giants.
Pence, who has been set back by Achilles tendon soreness, launched a two-run homer off Seattle's Joel Peralta that traveled at least 400 feet over the left field fence in his second at-bat. It cleared the grassy berm down the line at Scottsdale Stadium.Pence, who struck out swinging in his first at bat, also made a nice running catch in right field of a tailing liner by the Mariners' Efren Navarro.Follow Carl Steward on Twitter at twitter.
