Few people look more like a real-life mad scientist than Hunter Pence, so it's only natural that he made a guest appearance on 'Bill Nye Saves the World.'
The famed scientist enlisted Pence's help in episode five of his new Netflix show. And Pence is no bystander — he's the crucial component of Bill Nye's demonstration of how Earth became host to life.
In the demo, Pence and his baseball bat propel the "asteroid" (baseball) that strikes Mars, sending bacteria into space where it falls to the young Earth and helps it "propagate."
