SAN DIEGO – Giants right fielder Hunter Pence made an early exit from his first rehab game with Triple-A Sacramento after apparently aggravating his injured right hamstring.
But Giants GM Bobby Evans said the club’s initial evaluation of Pence wasn’t as dire as the video taken by a spectator appeared to show.

Evans said via text that Pence “seems OK” and “felt good after he came out.” Evans was hopeful that Pence could resume his rehab assignment on Sunday.
Video taken by a spectator at Round Rock, Texas, appeared to show Pence reaching toward the back of his right leg after hitting a single in the third inning.
