After 14 years in the MLB, veteran outfielder and two-time World Series champion Hunter Pence announced his retirement Saturday.
"Nothing can really prepare you for this part of your career when you have to say: I am retiring from baseball," the 37-year-old Pence says in a video posted to social media. "I've given it everything I've possibly can, and the game has given back to me tenfold."
The video features the outfielder's voiceover cut together with footage from his playing career, including his six-plus years with the San Francisco Giants. Pence was with the Giants from 2012 to 2018 before leaving in 2019 for the Texas Rangers.
