SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–Sergio Romo and Brian Wilson saved World Series clinchers for the Giants.
Both eventually wore Dodger blue.
Tony Watson nearly became a postseason hero in Los Angeles. Now, he’s the latest reliever to turn in his badge and don a rival’s uniform.
According to Baseball Reference, Watson will become the 229th player to appear in a Major League game for both the Dodgers and the Giants, as he transitions from pitching in five World Series contests to a club that lost 98 games a season ago.
“It’s going to be different because I know a lot of those guys out there,” Watson said.
