As if the A’s and Giants rivalry needed it, Major League Baseball spiced up the Bay Bridge Series by holding its annual Players’ Weekend later this month, featuring unique uniforms with nicknames on the back.
A’s fans will get to see Hurtado, Simmy and Slydah — better known as Matt Chapman, Marcus Semien and Liam Hendricks — facing Hum Buss, Grandpa and DJ BC Craw — aka Buster Posey, Alex Dickerson and Brandon Crawford — at the Coliseum on the weekend of Aug. 24-25.
MLB, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Players Association, announced the return of the player-focused event that showcases non-traditional uniforms in either black or white.
