Ahhh, Pitchers and Catchers Reporting Day. Is there anything better?
Yes. Just about everything. There are actual baseball games played in about 220 days out of every year, once you include exhibition games and the postseason. All of those days are better than Pitchers and Catchers Day. There’s, you know, actual baseball. Pitchers and Catchers Day just seems exciting because it’s a morsel of baseball after a long, hungry winter. Then it gets here, and it’s a bunch of dudes unpacking. We can’t even watch them stretch.
Every year. Every damned year I fall for it. I’ll do it again next year.
