SAN FRANCISCO — Orlando Cepeda rested in a beige leather chair inside Suite 62 at AT&T Park, absorbing his first live Giants action since suffering a stroke and severe head injuries almost five months ago in his gym’s parking lot in Fairfield.
The 80-year-old Hall of Famer said he is doing well, and told a small group of reporters that returning to AT&T Park “feels like coming home.”
“I think he’s the pillar of our family,” said Ali Cepeda, Orlando’s son. “With my wife and what we’ve been through, it’s put a stop to all our lives with what has happened to him.
